Pensioner fends off conman

On Tuesday at 5pm Pensioners where warned to be on their guard after a conman was foiled.

A 77 year old man was a victim of this trickster who knocked on his door claiming to be from a church. The 77 year old man denied him entry but the trickster forced his way in.

The 77 year old man then challenged him forcing the man to leave his home empty handed.
A local police man Gumbs said: "Fortunately nothing was stolen from this pensioner, but the whole incident has left him feeling quite upset.
"I'd appeal to anybody who can identify the man responsible to contact us. I'd also warn people not to let anyone they do not know into their home unless it has been pre-arranged."
The trickster was described as being between 30 and 40, ft 10 and well built. He was wearing a black coat and was clean shaven.
